Basic essentials you need for your newborn baby
Sometimes you might be caught unprepared, without a plan and no idea whatsoever as to what you need to have when your baby comes.
I have to admit that I was prepared just partially and while I was in labor I ordered part of the other things we needed. The rest we got along the way when we noticed they are missing.
Even if you can get away with no-plan plan, being one step ahead of everything is the best way to start this new journey.
When I am talking about a newborn checklist I will refer here only to what you need at home, and not about the car seat, stroller etc. Just the basic essentials you will probably use daily after you take your baby home.

Nursery
Even if you aren’t organizing the baby’s room yet, you will surely have a spot in your bedroom for the baby, as we do too. This space should be very organized, practical and cute too. We bought a dresser and placed a changing mattress on it. This is what I thought would be practical, and indeed it is.
And the thing I haven’t thought about, which we bought along the way, was the nightlight. Because when the baby is in the crib and you’d like to check up on him or her you wouldn’t want to turn all the light on just for that. This nightlight is very cool because it’s powered by batteries and you just need to tap on it gently and it turns on. Tap again and it turns off- so cool.

Cleaning and pampering
This part is more about what you thin is right to use and buy. You obviously need a bathtub, towels and shampoos, but everything else is a choice of your own. Some like to use body cream others oil and same thing goes for the nose cleaner. Digital or classic thermometer… well it depends on what you like to use. In my opinion, a digital one is much more practical but you might want to use a classic one.

Clothes
Well, here’s where you can have fun while shopping. You can’t really know what size the baby will actually be when he/she is born, but asking your doc about its weight and length could be a close indicator to how he/she will be when coming into this world.
You will need some onesies that snap along the leg up to the neck because they are easy to dress. Some short sleeved body-suits and small gloves so they won’t scratch their faces too bad. These are very practical but you can buy whatever you like and you’ll see along the way what you like better. As a rule, it’s better not to buy many clothing items because they will grow out of them very fast.
