I hope you missed me! I’ve been away for a while because I recently gave birth and I didn’t manage to organize everything so I could take care of the blog too. But now that I’m back with fresh energy, let’s see what we could wear after giving birth , if we want to look chic too.
As you know I haven’t bought anything that maternity wear written on it during pregnancy. So I basically wore what I already owned at that time adapting them to my body shape at that time. So what am I wearing right now?
A loose dress will be the best thing you could pick to wear after giving birth. Why? They are comfortable, easy to style and they can also make you look slimmer. Go for natural fibers and soft textures that feel great on your skin. A tight dress that you don’t feel comfortable is the last thing you need after giving birth.
Color blocking cardigans
A strapless or short sleeved dress might make your arms look big, especially if you have some extra weight on. Picking a bold colored cardigan to wear over a loose dress might be a great idea. If you have a printed dress on and a dark colored cardigan over, you might get a slimming effect because of the cool contrast.
Ankle cut boots
If the weather is not really great, you might want to trade your favorite sandals to a pair of comfortable ankle boots. With the right cut, the boots will make you ankles look thinner and legs longer. If your waistline is not back to it’s normal shape yet, you might want to show your best assets, like your legs for example.
Wide fedora hats
Fedora hats will always be my first choice when we are talking about accessories. As a new mom I can say that it’s not easy to have perfect hair everyday, so when you actually get a few free hours to go out, this might be your best solution.
Now the thing I need to get sorted out is how to incorporate a cool diaper bag in any outfit. How do you ladies cope with having your baby gear all day with you? Are you carrying two bags at a time? Or do you stash diapers, powders and nappy creams in your existing bags?
