What to Wear in Winter
When you think of winter, you see knits, warming accessories, padded jackets and of course, fur.
Fur in fancy collars, shawls, fur trims or even fabulous fur jackets.
Fur never went out of fashion and surely it never will because the elegance and sophistication a high quality fur entails can’t be replaced with any other item.
Still, each year designers come back with new variations on classic designs. Bold colors, prints and high volum have been really treding this year.
Thick fox fur vests look pretty amazing even with a casual jeans and top look.
For a more fancy event like a cocktail party or New YEar’s even, a short cape or an elegant fur jacket is really a must. What else could you actually wear over a velvet or silk dress?
So if don’t own any fur jackets yet, now is the time.
I found some really great deal even on new arrivals so you should at least make a wishlist and see which design would fit you better.
If you are not really a fur fan, try neutral colors but for a more extravagant look pick a handpainted fur jacket or even a dark burgundy vest.
Brown, beige, white and black are classic, but a simple detail in the cut might make it look totally different. A thin metallic belt or studded details could really make you stand out even if you wear it just on your way to the market.
Part of 2016 fall-winter trends are chevron painted fur so even if it’s a classic design the bold pattern makes it stand out. I would wear it with a leather skirt and some fancy ankle toe booties to finish of the look.
When you pick a fur for yourself try it on several time and make sure you get another opinion. If you are petite, never go for knee legth fur coats. Try something shorter because otherwise you will look small and very chubby. The exact opposite effect.
So why not start and get your first fur.
