Dressing up for the change of season
It’s funny that I was actually waiting for a warm Spring with many sunny days, when Winter came back full speed ahead. All my Spring clothes are staying in home arrest deep inside my closet and I am currently sporting very warm clothes that are not so, well, fashionable.
The priority is to stay warm and healthy, because Spring will surely comes soon and I can wear all my favorite items then.
Winter to Spring outfits are very adaptable and easy to style if you follow basic lines. Layering is the key and I don’t think I have said it enough times. Having several layers like an onion make it easier to get things off if needed. A dress with a fitted layer of a vest and stockings underneath, a knitted cardigan or waistcoat over the dress and if it’s really cold, pick a wool coat to be sure you don’t catch a flu or something.
For transitional looks, it’s important to stay accessorized but without going overboard. Winter to Spring outfits need a hat, because it keeps you warm and it also gives them that artsy vibe you really need when styling option are limited. Texture layering is also a great idea on how to compile something rather creative in such a difficult season. Wearing over the knee boots is something you really need to try especially if you want to sport some cute and elegant dresses. They really compliment the look and as a bonus, they keep you warm and prevent your feet from turning purple.
Winter to Spring outfit idea
My proposal for such an outfit is this cute mix that I put together last weekend. A thick lace dress with 3/4 sleeves that I also have in white. I love it so much that I needed this version too. Very good price for such a good fabric actually. I paired the dress with a cool fur and leather waistcoat and some suede over the knee boots that I love so much. The fedora hat couldn’t stay at home just because right now I lack volume in my hair. I hope this will get fixed after I finish breastfeeding. I need to get my volume back!
I know I am ready for Spring because it’s been too cold for too long!
