The Fenty platform sneakers
I have always loved sneakers as a day to day option for footwear mostly because they are comfortable. Over time I started building my wardrobe around this kind of outfits, casual, comfortable with a bit of edgy rock ‘n ‘roll inspo that I consider my signature style.
When it comes to footwear, sneakers and ankle boots rule my shoe closet, especially white sneakers and black ankle boots with metallic adornments like studded details, chains or buckles.
This pair of black suede Fenty x Puma platform sneakers is the latest addition and I can’t even imagine how i lived without them. Haha.
Leaving out the funny side of things, these sneakers have everything I would wish for from a pair of shoes. they are comfortable, very light even if I didn’t expect them to feel that way after I took them in my hand, and the best part is that they also make me look a bit taller without needing to crush my feet in heels that I barely wear.
Don’t get me wrong, I love high heels but I can’t seem to come at peace with them. They feel uncomfortable( most of them) and I can’t walk much with them on my feet. I guess it’s all about practice and practice but I am not that fond in killing my feet that easily just for the sake of later being able to stay all day and all night in high heels.
Getting back to this outfit, I have to admit that I have a hard time not picking this skirt and sneakers as a combo just because I feel they are simply perfect together. I wore it at least three times on different occasions. The Lenny Kravitz concert, at a blogger meet here in Timisoara and with this yellow T-shirt here.
Other ideas on how to style sneakers
With a pair of short ripped jeans and a simple top. The basic summer look for which I would go for when I want to be super comfy.
A short cotton dress like this one that I wore with oxford shoes is another option that looks great with black sneakers, especially these platform creepers from Fenty x Puma.
Tracksuit trousers and sneakers are like bread and butter. Perfect match. For a sporty chic mix, this is the combo to opt for. Side snaps tracksuits are a thing but I haven’t got a pair yet. Couldn’t find the perfect pair for me 🙂
Boyfriend or skinny jeans and sneakers plus a loose shirt is a cool idea to try out. For a more edgy mix, ad a suit blazer and maybe a bowler hat.
